DOGHAUS

INTRODUCTION

DOGHAUS is a small hot dog shop located in the heart of Courtenay place in Wellington.  They take pride in using variety of  locally made sausages and breads.

THE ASSIGNMENT

I was initially approached come up with a name of the brand and design the logo for the brand.  I proposed this logo design as i felt there was a friendly feel and timeless feel which my client wanted but it is also easily recognisable and clean.

THE CONCEPTION

After some brain storming we came up with the name “DOGHAUS”.  We felt that it would suits the place since the shop is a tiny space like a dog house and selling german style hot dogs.  We wanted to avoid creating a logo that literally look like a hot dog, it was more important to have a logo that is easily recognisable and differentiates from other hot dog shops.

THE SOLUTION

After few iterations i have decided to incorporate Dachshund to the logo design as a nice little addition to the otherwise regular word mark.
